From her birth on Martha's Vineyard to years spent living in the Bahamas and Florida, Stacie has always drawn inspiration from the sea and island life. "Having grown up in the Bahamas and Florida, most of my life has been spent barefoot, walking the beach and near the water."

During her twenties Stacie opened the boutique Cheznu with a friend in Palm Beach, Florida. They imported Buzos bikinis from Brazil, designed their own line of resort wear, and specialized in turquoise and silver jewelry. Later Stacie worked for Martha, Courreges and Valentino on the famed Worth Avenue, before heading north to work for Elsa Peretti at Tiffany's flagship store in Manhattan.

As a jewelry designer, Stacie strives to incorporate the love she has for the ocean and its' mysteries into each piece, so that women may enhance their lives with colour and the mystical allure of gold, silver and gemstones. "I have always been fascinated with colour and try to combine stones and metals in new and interesting ways. My daughter is very spiritual and has given me a greater appreciation for the meaning and significance of various gemstones." Many of her pieces not only get their inspiration from the tropics, but are great for travel - such as the Faux Luxe Collection. These were included after loosing an heirloom pair of her mother's earrings while at the beach.."Everyone wants to look great while on vacation, but bringing your better jewelry with you is really not a good idea. With our faux diamond tennis bracelets, rings and so on - you can look like you're wearing the real McCoy, but you're not!!! No one will know..jewelry should be fun, and by introducing these pieces to mix with your real jewelry it lightens it up a bit!"

Only a small number of designs are created each season - each piece is unique and made to order, therefore slight variations are natural and will occur. Each collection starts with a multitude of coloured pencil sketches, as Stacie draws on the inspiration of the flora, fauna and sea life of the islands. Named for favorite haunts, hidden coves, and endless stretches of beach, each piece brings to life the allure of the sea and the surrounding land. "I want my jewelry to take you away..remind you of that one perfect moment, when you were in a favorite place.. the breeze was blowing, you could feel the sun, the light was magical.. we all need a bit of paradise in our lives.."

Stacie currently divides her time between eastern Long Island and a tiny cottage on the North Carolina coast. Recently remarried, she shares her life with her new husband Pete and their miniature dachshund Lilly. When not designing jewelry they can be found exploring yard sales and antique shops on their Road King or in their 1953 Ford Custom Line, "Lullubelle"!
